Senior School Uniforms

Students are required to wear full regulation uniform. If there is a non-regulation item of uniform worn on any day, for a valid reason, then students must get a uniform dispensation slip from their Form teacher. We expect that KingsWay Students will take pride in their appearance and uphold the standard required by the Board of Trustees. Students are required to wear summer uniform in Terms One and Four and winter uniform in Terms Two and Three. Only items listed below may be worn.

Girls Uniform  

SUMMER UNIFORM: GIRLS (Term 1 & 4)

• Navy skirts must be worn mid-calf. This means halfway between the knee and the ankle. This is non-negotiable
• White blouse
• School jumper or school blazer or school jacket
• In summer a choice of either polishable black shoes or black sandals with back straps done up at all times (no boots, sport shoes or casual shoes)
• When wearing closed shoes, girls may wear either no socks or plain white ankle socks

WINTER UNIFORM: GIRLS (Term 2 & 3)

• Navy skirts must be worn mid-calf. This means halfway between the knee and the ankle. This is non-negotiable
• White blouse
• School jumper or school blazer or school jacket 
• Black/navy coloured stockings
• Polishable black leather shoes (no boots, sports shoes or casual shoes)
• Ties: Years 10-12 striped tie / Year 13 plain tie / or Scholars tie may be worn
• Scarves: Black, white or navy
• When wearing closed shoes, girls may wear either no socks or plain white ankle socks

GIRLS: HAIR AND JEWELLERY

• Hair styles for girls need to be neat and tidy and off the face
• Hair ties and bands: Black, white, navy, blue (no patterns)
• Only natural hair colours are permitted
• Girls may wear one small plain ear stud in the bottom of each ear lobe. Gold and silver only
• No visible makeup is to be worn
• Only clear nail polish may be worn
• Girls may wear one plain, flat ring

SUMMER UNIFORM: BOYS (Term 1 & 4)

• Navy school shorts
• Short sleeved white shirt (tucked in)
• Black flat sandals (back strap compulsory) or black polishable shoes with school socks (no boots, sports shoes or casual shoes)
• Plain black belt
• School jumper or school blazer or school jacket 

Boys Uniform

WINTER UNIFORM: BOYS (Term 2 & 3)

• Navy school long trousers
• Navy/black socks
• White shirt (Buttoned to the top and tucked in)
• School jumper or school blazer or school jacket
• Black polishable shoes (no boots, sports shoes or casual shoes)
• Plain black belt
• Ties: Years 10-12 Striped tie / Year 13 plain tie / or Scholars tie may be worn

BOYS: HAIR AND JEWELLERY

• Hair styles for boys need to be neat and tidy and off the face
• Only natural hair colours are permitted
• No visible piercings
• Boys may wear one plain, flat ring
• Face to be clean shaven

Please Note: Deans have discretion on a day to day basis to decide whether an item worn constitutes appropriate uniform
