KingsWay is a Year 1-13 composite, integrated school, roll 1455, decile 9, situated on two campuses in Orewa, Hibiscus Coast. We are a modern, multi-campus, well-resourced school with fantastic, supportive staff. Primary School - One Vacancy

Primary School (middle years) – Head of Learning Area (HOLA), 1SU 1MMA, permanent, full time, commencing Term 1, 2020. Possible Community of Learning role for a suitable applicant (equivalent to 2SUs).

Due to roll growth, an exciting opportunity exists for an experienced permanent, full time Middle School Teacher (Y7-9), with strength in Science. The Middle School has a current roll of 455 students and is well-resourced with supportive and collaborative staff.
This position commences at the start of Term 1, 2020 for a NZ registered teacher who:

  • is a passionate, energetic educator who is a keen contributor
  • enjoys partnering with parents
  • is able to embrace Middle School philosophy

Senior School - One Vacancy

Head of Faculty – The Arts, permanent, full time, 2SU (permanent). Experience teachers only.

Due to internal promotion, KingsWay Senior School has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head of Faulty with experience teaching the Arts, commencing Term 1, 2020. In this role, you will:
• be responsible for leading the ongoing development of curriculum delivery in the Arts Faculty in Years 10-13
• Display enthusiasm, leadership and a proven ability to deliver exceptional outcomes throughout the Arts curriculum.

This position carries 2 permanent SU.

Tau Te Arohanoa Akoranga Teaching positions (Years 1 - 9) - One Vacancy

Primary teacher, permanent, full time, 1MU (WSL Kahui Ako possibility equivalent to 2SUs) – commencing T1, 2020 or by negotiation

For the right person, this appointment will grow into a leadership role. There must be a commitment to raise student achievement in literacy and numeracy within a culturally responsive curriculum.
Tau Te Arohanoa Akoranga is a satellite school of KingsWay and has a roll of 17. It is currently located in the premises of Woodhill School, Helensville (with the probability of relocation to Kumeu, on-site with Kumeu Baptist Church, at the start of 2021).
Applicants must be committed to upholding the Christian special character of the school, which pervades all aspects of the programme and participate in the co-curricular life of the school. Te Reo Maori is a strong focus of the school and applicants must be able to support and develop this as the community develops a robust Te Reo Maori programme that supports our bilingual aspirations. Applicants must be NZ registered teachers.
