The school newsletter will no longer be published weekly. A printed bulletin will be sent home with students once a term. Notices maybe sent home via the website from time to time so families are welcome to register for this under e-newsletter to receive these messages.

KingsWay School Gala Only 2 Weeks to go....
20th March 2010
We are once again putting a call out for the following items, please send them to your classrooms this week; Bag of lollies / Lucky Dip item ($2-$5) / Bottle of something (non alcoholic) / Grocery Item (and/or any spare hamper baskets). We are running a points system for all these items again this year, each being worth one point. The winning class in primary, and middle school/college get a day out on the PTA. Please have your child bring these items to their teacher at school for points allocation. (NOTE – Items required by 12th March please).
White Elephant, Used Clothing, Books and Toys.
Please could you start collecting together your surplus, good quality items for delivery to the school. Please ensure all clothing is clean and folded and White Elephant items are of reasonable quality and operating correctly and safely – contact Mike mike@prosol.co.nz
Drop off at Room 13 (Prefab by school tuck shop) on Friday 5th and Friday 12th as well as every day from 15th to 19th March,
Times 8.30-9.30am and 2.30-3.45pm.
Auction
We are planning on our Auction to be a big event and to that end we need unique and items of value to auction. If you have a contact or are able to source something for us please let us know. Contact Bill (billjen@watchdog.net.nz). Points are allocated for auction items. We are also able to offer sponsors advertising in our post publication as well as on the day.
If you have an idea for a stall or just want to help out on the day please contact Sue (sueandrew@actrix.co.nz).
KINGSWAY PARENT SUPPORT GROUP: Point of Difference
All parents and caregivers of a child who is impacted by a specific learning difficulty or physical disability are invited to join us for our first meeting of the year on Tuesday March 30. We meet at 7pm and finish at 9pm sharp.

INCREASE IN SPECIAL CHARACTER LEVY 2010
A letter was sent home in November last year advising that the Special Character Levy would be increased in 2010.
If you are paying monthly the amount of increase is 7.00 per child to 44.00
If you are paying quarterly the increase is 21.00 per child to 132.00
If you pay yearly in advance the amount is 528.00
This increase took place from 1st January 2010. If you have not already done so please change your AP for the next payment and remit the outstanding amount to the School ASAP or by internet banking to ASB 123084 0192348 000.
