Welcome to cricket @ KingsWay School. Cricket is offered to Years 9-13 male students.

Despite struggling last year to muster the numbers to enter two sides in 2009, it has been decided to persevere with a junior and senior side for 2010 in the best interest of the future of cricket in the long term as we have some great players emerging in the Middle School who will bolster the side next year.

This season heralds a new promotion and relegation competition format which will open things up for the senior cricket side compete in the Auckland league in 2011 if they win their grade this year. We really need all boys to be committed to improving their skill so we can earn a place amongst the best in Auckland.

Dear Parents,

My name is Bevon Jacobs from Mr. Cricket. I am one of the directors of the company. Mr. Cricket is a cricket company based on the North Shore and Hibiscus Coast area and we specialize in the development of cricket i.e. coaching clinics; age group academies; holiday camps and one-on-one coaching.
My intention with this letter is to inform you of our first batting winter programme at KingsWay School aimed at a couple of junior boys and a few Intermediate and few senior boys initially. We are planning to start a group of 16 boys but will expand into a bigger group over the course of time. Please contact us for registration a.s.a.p. as we have limited spaces available.

I have had the privilege to coach many players over the past 5 years as a professional cricket coach in New Zealand: Black Caps - Martin Guptill, Reece Young and Daryll Tuffey; Auckland Aces – Michael Bates; NZ U/19 – Jeet Raval, Jimmy Neesham and Johnathan Bassett-Graham; Auckland U/19 – Victor Davies and Ajaz Patel; Auckland U/17 – Sean Solia; Auckland U/15 – Aniket Joshi and Sachin Variath; Auckland U/14 - James Parslow, Patrick Williams and Thomas Linstrom. I have also assisted in coaching various Auckland age group winter academies and Western Districts representative teams and selecting them as well. I am a current South African Level 2 and New Zealand Level 2 Cricket Coach.
This particular batting programme will be held at KingsWay School in Jelas Road inside the Events Centre on the following nights from 6-8pm:

July – 20 & 30
August – 12; 20; 27; 31
September – 10; 17; 24

The cost for the Academy is $5 per session per boy. Payments to be made at the start of the programme. Please note this academy is open to anyone, however, it will be most beneficial to the more serious cricketer.
