Welcome to basketball at KingsWay School. Basketball is offered to both girls and boys in Years 5 & 6 and Miniball is offered to both girls and boys in Years 1-4.
Years 1-6 games are played at the Leisure Centre, Stanmore Bay throughout the year. However, term 1 will be set aside for training before teams are finalised for terms 2-3. These training seasons will involve an experienced coach coming to work alongside our Years 1-6 coaches to help them develop their coaching. Training is held in the Events Centre, Kingsway School.
If you have an interest in managing or coaching a team please inform us. I would be delighted to hear from you. I am particularly looking for adult coaches who are willing to give their time and experience into developing our young basketballers.

Coaches and Managers:
We believe that it is imperative that every child gets the best possible experience from their sporting opportunities. To this end, we do require dedicated managers and sport coaches to assist with the running of teams. If you are able to volunteer your time, please inform the Teacher in Charge of the code in which you wish to be involved. Every code will have access to specialised coaching this year on an infrequent basis to assist coaches, however, coaching courses can be organised to up-skill volunteers.

Please note: All late registrations will incur a $5.00 administration fee.

Please note: All sporting fees include an administration fee, equipment(only for sports who are supplied with KingsWay Sports equipment) , uniform (only for sports who are supplied with KingsWay sports uniform), coaching, van costs (if the school van is used) and Teacher in Charge of Sport costs. The coaching portion of the fee is used to bring in specialist coaches to give coaching to our coaches.
