KingsWay School new head students are Alexa Tomey and Daniel Herring.
Alexa played in the Orewa school’s top netball team last year, did hiphop and is a leader at Primal, an Orewa youth group. She wants to do a digital photography course next year and be a photographer.
Daniel was in the sports council last year and coached a rugby team. He plans to do a bachelor of law next year.
Deputy head students are Hannah Wilson and Leon Lysaght.
Hannah coached basketball, played hockey and was on the events team last year. She is deciding between going to Bible College, doing psychology and politics or travelling next year.
Leon is in the school’s top rugby team and was on the sports council last year.
He wants to do a bachelor of sport and recreation next year and eventually become a physical education teacher.
The head of house leaders is Jessica Budler, arts council Richard Munton, sports council Richard Dando and peer support Shenja Mahler and Jordan Friis.
Deputy principal Craig Utting announced the new head students at an assembly, as well as the prefects, house leaders, sports and arts council, and peer support team.
